Latest Revenue Update – very helpful tips and information for all

 In Revenue Updates

Revenue issue one or more ‘eBrief’ each week (sometimes not so often). One they issued yesterday called ‘Useful Tips’ is exactly that.

If you have decided to file your own income tax return for the year 2016 and have yet to file, you will find this particularly helpful. As you will be aware, the deadline is fast approaching. Revenue have extended the deadline to midnight of the 16th, not that I’d encourage anyone to file close to the deadline date, my mantra is always ‘prepare early’.

While we receive these emails each week, many are very focused on one particular area. In my opinion, this is one of the most useful eBriefs I’ve seen in a while and would encourage all readers to have a review of the link and keep it for follow up in case you have any queries in the near future.

It’s one of those emails it’s always good to keep hold of when you’re looking for a particular thing (like the videos revenue have published).

Various tax headings covered and for those filing their income tax returns themselves, it would be very beneficial to have a read of the following link.

Tips for Income tax filing (and preliminary tax guidance), ‘how to’ sections noted here (how to offset a refund against another tax head for example), informational videos on their website, RCT, LPT information as well as helpdesk numbers and support unit details plus more.
